'Ichiban' means 'first' in Japanese but I don't think this is the 'first' kopitiam with a Japanese name in KB, 'Hayaki' kopitiam sudah lama bertapak di sini sampai ada cawangan di negeri lain. Located in Kubang Kerian Bandar Baru (betul-betul depan Hospital USM), tauke ni orang jepun ke but my guess he is a cha ya nun alif lah. Its not like that we often eat out but just once in a while to treat the two kids (dia orang duk terperap since Disember 2012 di rumah tunggu nak masuk kolej mana-mana bulan depan) and since we were in that particular area that day so let's give it a try and quench our thirst..
The menu is like in any other kopitiam in the whole of Malaysia, no need to elaborate.. sajalah I was thinking with a japanese name the menu would also serve japanese food such as sushi, ramen noodles tapi jauh panggang dari api (sedap pulak perumpaan melayu kita ni kan..)
Looks can be so deceptive...
Nampak sedap chicken chop dan black pepper sauce dan mee hailam tu tetapi semua taste ke laut, mee hailam tu rasa macam hirup kuah kicap aje...that's what it tasted like to MOTH. Dua gelas air yang suppose to taste Dragonfruit langsung tak ada taste buoh nago..apakehal diperah air asam limau dalam buoh nago ni? Can you call an ABC without the cendol, black beans and other varieties of condiments that made up 'air batu campur', ABC? Verdict of the ABC...tawar 'hair bear'!
Melayang RM45.70 untuk makanan di atas ...and on the way home kena tadah telinga from MOTH with his 'I told you so, I told you so.....' tak apa kan kopitiam tu cha ya nun alif yang punya so we don't have to go there anymore.
