Life's Little Pleasures...

This is one of my life's little pleasures....

“We all grew up in families, and I think part of the reason my novels have really connected with people is that they’re really family stories…” Watch Khaled Hosseini talk about AND THE MOUNTAINS ECHOED.

The latest novel by Khaled Hosseini which was waited patiently and eagerly by thousands of his fans has been launched yesterday 21 May 2013.  I had ordered this novel online via MPH early this month and was notified by MPH that it will be delivered in five to six weeks...what a long wait!!  I followed Khaled Hosseini on Facebook and like thousands of his other fans cannot wait to get my hands on his latest masterpiece...

What a surprise when this morning the office boy handed me a parcel and without a doubt I knew what's inside!  Kudos to MPH for the early delivery and now have the time to settle down and enjoy this one of my 'life little pleasures' earlier than expected!

Hi dear, I wish I have time to read novels like you, with all the workload, how to cope and compete with time..anyway I tunggu cuti sekolah, boleh la pi kedai buku and hunt for some reading materials, kalau bukan novels pun magazines will be good enough..

These days I hardly read books by contemporary writers. There is so much pleasure going over old books - a kind of nostalgia. It is like watching favourite old films all over again.

I find novels by Khaled Hosseini are worth reading Pakcik and his earlier novel 'A Thousand Splendid Suns' will always be my all time favourite. Through his books I get to learn more about Aghanistan which was a beautiful country and later was ravaged by the meaningless war. Have a nice day Pakcik and thank you for visiting :)
